There are no prerequisites for the courses except familiarity with the PMBOK^® Guide standard. There are prerequisite for taking the PMP exam:-

• A four-year degree
• 36 months leading projects
• 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM^® Certification

• A high school diploma or an associate’s degree (or global equivalent)
• 60 months leading projects
• 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM^® Certification

PMI online course access extends through the full life of the course. You will be able to return to your coursework at any time while active and may review or retake the content you have purchased any number of times.

When it’s determined that a PMI online course has reached the end of its lifecycle (meaning content is determined to be outdated or quality becomes diminished) the course will be retired and access will be removed. You will not lose any PDUs obtained from the completion of a course prior to its retirement. If you have not completed a course that is being retired, you will be notified through email and given 60 days’ notice to complete.

No, a PMI credential is not required to take an online course. However, only PMP^®, PgMP^®, PMI-ACP^®, PMI-RMP^® and PMI-SP^® credential holders can earn PDUs.

You will receive an access code via email to access the PMP on Demand. Instruction on how to access and redeemed the code will be within the email

You can exit the course at any time and your progress will be saved any time as long as you click on the Exit button within the course module.

The My Transcript page, available from My PMI > Access Your Learning Products > My Homepage, displays the overall status of your course. When you purchase the course, your status will be "Not Started" or "Not Enrolled". Once you have accessed the course, the Status will change to "Started". When you have completed a module of the course, the Status will change to "Complete" for that module. Module status will show in the Curriculum page for this product.

Yes. If you complete the course, you will continue to have access and can restart the content at any time.

No. The only requirement to receive your certificate of completion for a PMI online course is to access every scene and complete every exercise and decision point in the course. Once you access the last page of the course, and exit to return to the My Transcript, you will receive access to a certificate of completion.

You will receive a link to download a completion certificate once you complete the course.

Your course "Status" on your Curriculum Page is updated within minutes. Once you complete the course, your Status will show as "Complete". This will activate the Download Certificate link. Please print a copy of the certificate for your records. The information needed to claim PDUs will be displayed in a separate document within the course curriculum.

You may access the certificate from the My Transcript page, available at My PMI > e-Learning > My Homepage. Select My Transcript from My Workspace on the top menu. Click on the drop down menu and select Certificate and "Go" on the last module in the course to open the certificate. The certificate is available only in PDF format. You may print the certificate and download a copy to store electronically.

The PMBOK^® Guide—Seventh Edition is not included with most courses. However, a digital version of this standard is included with the course Project Management Basics , PMI's CAPM Prep course.
